Anticipated Position: Assistant Professor Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders Louisiana State University is a Research I Institute that serves approximately 31,000 students, including 200 undergraduates and 50 graduate students in Communication Sciences & Disorders. Faculty in the Department participate in LSU's Aging Center and the Interdepartmental Linguistics Program. The Department also maintains ties with a number of universities and hospitals in the Southeastern area of the state. Qualifications: Ph.D. in Communication Disorders or related area. CCC-SLP and eligibility for Louisiana Licensure in speech-language pathology is preferred. Preference will be given to those with expertise in neurogenic communication disorders. Responsibilities: Teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in communication disorders, conducting research in the applicant's area of interest, advising students, and participating in department and university committees. Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and expertise. Anticipated hire date: August, 2001 Application is due December 1, 2000 or until position is filled.
