[The Company] Mingsee, Inc. is seeking to revolutionize the way computers can deal with, comprehend and analyze text. With our proprietary algorithms and products, we will be able to have computers deal with text as effectively as computers can process numbers. We believe we will change the way a very large number of people work, from researchers accessing an already "read" database of text to lawyers relying on computers for case summaries to simply researching effectively on the web. We, the founding members, are four people, coming from diverse disciplines and backgrounds: a Harvard MBA, a Stanford MBA, a USC graduate and a professor in linguistics. We have been working on our proprietary algorithms for two and a half years and by now have many of the key components in place. We have a patent pending for completed inventions. Up till present, we have been funding the development efforts ourselves and have already reached critical milestones in the development process. However, with the increase in importance of time to market and our growing need for substantial amount of analytical and computing power, we are also in the process of finalizing our initial outside funding to continue and complete our development effort. Who Do We Need? [Qualifications] We are seeking to hire really bright and highly analytically oriented people to test and develop hypotheses and algorithms to complete our product development. Candidates with linguistics background would require limited introduction to the materials and approaches we work with. However, such a background is not a requirement, since most of our methods and tools are radically different from traditional linguistic approaches. We look for the right combination of outstanding smarts and conducive attitude. Knowledge of Chinese, Japanese, Spanish, German and French would also be pluses. In addition to a dynamic and flexible working environment, we offer a very competitive compensation package. Who Do You Contact? jobs
