The lists of possibly soundsymbolic names for animals and birds in some
50 languages are at:

There are gaps and no doubt a number of errors (in some instances due to
conversion from email to EXCEL to HTML).

I am grateful for the help from a number of LINGUIST readers in
supplementing and correcting the words included in the lists.

There are many other languages which might be included. More from Asia,
Africa and South America would be particularly welcome.
