Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Linguistics, Applied Linguistics, Language Education, or a closely related field, with a specialization in second language acquisition and language pedagogy. Secondary specializations drawn from the following are desirable: language testing, program design and evaluation, classroom-based research, instructional technology. Responsibilities include supervision of thesis research, both quantitative and qualitative. Establishing and sustaining funded research activities is important. We encourage applications from a diverse community of international scholars conducting research inside and outside the United States. Application Information: The position will be available beginning Fall 2001. Candidates should submit a letter of application including statement of research and teaching interests, curriculum vitae, representative publications, and names and addresses (including fax and e-mail) of at least three references.
