1st International Conference on Manchu-Tungus Studies (I.C.M.T.S.)
Bonn, Germany, August 28 - September 1, 2000
1st circular & call for papers
We are pleased to invite you to attend the 1st International Conference on
Manchu-Tungus Studies (I.C.M.T.S.) to be held at the Institute for Central
Asian Languages and Cultures ("Seminar f�r Sprach- und Kulturwissenschaft
Zentralasiens"), University of Bonn, Germany. The arrival date is August 27;
the departure September 1, 2000.
The conference is dedicated to all aspects of Manchu-Tungus Studies,
e.g. Tungus languages and linguistics, Manchu literature and writing,
Manchu, Jurchen (Jin), and Qing history, shamanism, anthropology, culture,
nd history of Manchu-Tungus studies. Scholars from related areas of
research are also encouraged to participate. The conference will be
divided into several sections and panels according to certain areas of
research (e.g. linguistics, history).
