There is a three-year half-time research position available in the Linguistics Dept at the Universitaet Konstanz (Germany), beginning 1 March 2000 or asap thereafter. The successful candidate will be expected to work half of her/his time on her/his PhD (to be submitted at Konstanz or her/his home university) and the other half on a research project on the typology and change of form classes (lexical vs. grammatical), funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft within the Sonderforschungsbereich 471. A solid background in linguistic theory and historical linguistics and some genetic or areal specialisation are desirable. PL) ************************************ Your tasks: * Manage and coordinate development projects in the area of natural language processing technology and systems.
