 The Department of English at National Central University in Taiwan
is seeking two outstanding teachers--scholars in English Teaching
and Learning, especially in the following two fields:

 1. ESL/TESL
 2. Rhetoric/Composition

Doctoral degree is required for both positions, beginning fall 2000,
pending approval. To apply, please send Resume/CV, transcripts, two
letters of recommendation, a writing sample of about 30 pages, and
preferably two course syllabi on related courses to Dr. Wenchi Lin
in the Department of English at National Central University. Materials
must be postmarked by February 15, 2000.

Duties:
Teaching French as a second language methodology courses at
undergraduate and graduate levels;
Research in French as a second language methodology
Requirements:
Recently acquired Ph.D. in linguistics, applied linguistics or any other
relevant discipline;
Research experience in French as a second language methodology and
publications in the field;
Teaching experience in FSL at the elementary or high school level;
Teaching experience at the university level an asset;
Knowledge of CAAL;
Excellent knowledge of spoken and written French.
