Rank of Job: Areas Required: Grammars for speech recognition Other Desired Areas: University or Organization: NetSage Corporation Department: State or Province: CA Country: USA Final Date of Application: 3/15/00 Contact: Dale Weideman jobs-sfMail to author|Respond to list|Read more issues|LINGUIST home page|Top of issuenetsage.com Address for Applications: 3001 19th Street San Francisco CA 94110 USA NetSage needs a US English linguist to work on an exciting speech-recognition based hands free control system for a high-end German performance automobile. We make socially intelligent interfaces for automated systems. This interface is a driving assistant that responds to voice commands for operating multiple aspects of the car system. As part of our work, we need to construct grammars for the speech recognition (we're using the Lernout and Hauspie speech recognizer) which phonetically represent the sounds the driver will be making when they utter a valid command. This is a rush project that we need help on right away -- would be a few weeks for this project, could turn into a longer term opportunity if the fit is right. NetSage is a hot, pre-IPO Internet company in San Francisco. All work would be at our offices. Check out our website at www.netsage.com for more background information.
