Applications are invited for two half-time positions at the English 
Department of the Free University of Berlin (starting in October 2000). 
Applicants should hold a university degree in English linguistics and/or 
general linguistics (M.A. or Staatsexamen) and should have a strong 
interest in language typology, semantics and/or syntax. Some experience in 
the analysis of Non-European languages would be welcome. Successful 
applicants are expected to teach two courses per academic year and to 
engage in research leading to a Ph.D. (Dr. phil.).

The salary is ranked according to the BAT II/a pay scale.
