Dear linguists, there are two two-year half-time research positions available in the Department of Romance Philology at the Free University of Berlin (Germany), beginning April 1, 2000: 1) For a project on the grammar of Romance languages. The applicant should have a university degree in Romance Philology (preferably Ph.D.), a specialization or good knowledge in Spanish Linguistics, and experience with formal and/or cognitice lingustics and/or computational linguistics. The successful candidate will be expected to work on a research project on grammar(s) and grammatical theory of the Romance languages and to teach in the area of Romance linguistics. The applicant should have a university degree in Romance Philology (preferably Ph.D.), a specialization in Italian Linguistics, and some computer experience, especially in the field of Internet tools and Internet-based programming. The successful candidate will be expected to work on a research project on the history, structure and multemedial presentation of Romance minority languages, and to teach in the area of Romance linguistics.
