Dear Linguists,

You may have noticed that the total collected in the Linguist List 
Fund Drive took a significant jump upward this weekend. This was 
due to the Natural Language Group at Microsoft which pledged 
$5000. Furthermore, we received an anonymous pledge of $2000, 
which will be counted in tomorrow's total.

We are so grateful for these generous contributions that we have 
instituted a special category ("Angels") on our Contributors page 
(http://linguistlist.org/contributors.html) 
And we also wanted to recognize these donors in a special 'thank-
you' posting, since we feel that those of you who use Linguist 
services will also want to know who your "angels" are!
