Box 589 Tampere Pirkanmaa 33101 Finland LECTURESHIP IN ENGLISH The Tampere University of Technology announces the opening of a new English lectureship (A21 salary grade) intended for a native speaker of English. In accordance with Statute 309/93, university lecturers should have a licentiate or doctorate, good teaching skills, and expertise in the field to be taught. Applicants without the above-mentioned degrees, but with exceptional professional expertise in the field to be taught, may also be considered for the post. Applicants are expected to have native speaker competence in English. In assessing the suitability of the candidates for the post, preference will be given to those with degrees in TEFL/TESOL/applied linguistics, the ability to teach both advanced written and oral skills courses, prior university teaching experience, and experience in CALL (computer-assisted language learning). Applicants are expected to document their professional career development in the form of a teaching portfolio (3-6 pages) to be enclosed with their application.
