Sociolinguistics and Language Teaching Papers on the following as well
as other topics related to sociolinguistics and the teaching and
learning of languages are welcome. Possible topic areas:

Teaching about language variation

Helping students become aware of register in the second language

Including culture in language learning

Teaching about gender differences in language

Bringing research on language attitudes in the classroom

Send a one page abstract of your paper and a brief biographical

"LEGAL DISCOURSE AND SOCIAL INQUIRY: its interpretation and 
innovative directions"

Content: It will give contributors an opportunity not only to re-assess the
linguistic descriptions of legal discourse, but also consider the utility of
the latter in relation to former and/or oncoming social, political,
legislative or jurisprudential developments. The topics and aspects to be
discussed could be speech acts, conversational structures, linguistic
(grammatical and lexical) phenomena in spoken and written sub-genres.
