 Job Announcement
 Visiting Lecturer

The Research Center for Higher Education, Kyushu University, is
seeking to appoint a visiting lecturer in the areas of TEFL/TESOL,
English Language and Literature, communication, or other related
areas. The main responsibility will be the teaching of English
language to undergraduates. The post is for two years, starting from
1 October 2001, or as soon as thereafter, with a possible extension of
one year. A PhD is preferable together with substantial teaching
experience and relevant publications. However, an experienced teacher
with an M.A. degree may also be considered. The salary and benefits
will be based on the Japanese Ministry of Education scale, and will be
commensurate with age and experience. Please send (1) a letter of
application, (2) a full curriculum vitae, (3) a list of publications,
(4) copies of two publications of your choice, (5) a cassette-recorded
self-introduction, and (6) two recent (within the past one year)
letters of reference (these application materials must be received by
20 June 2001 and will not be returned) to:
