International linguistic panel VERBAL PERIPHRASES IN ROMANCE LANGUAGES IN THE LIGHT OF CURRENT GRAMMATICAL THEORIES: organized by the German Association for Catalan Studies (DKV) within the 27th German Conference on Romance Languages at Ludwig-Maximilians University in Munich (Germany), October 7th - 10th, 2001. This panel will focus on synchronic and diachronic aspects of periphrastic expression of time, aspect and modality in Romance and includes contributions with different theoretical backgrounds. The panel takes Catalan and the other Ibero-Romance languages as a starting point, but many other Romance languages and varieties will also be considered.
