The appointment will commence on August 1, 2001. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. The 2001-02 range for this position is $42,524 to $45,000 (under review). The successful candidate will teach 15 credit hours of undergraduate and graduate linguistics courses, including a 6 credit hour undergraduate course in formal syntax and an upper-level course in their area of specialization. A doctoral degree in Linguistics and an active research program in a poorly documented language are required. Candidates must have a strong commitment to teaching.
