The fellowship is supported by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada and provides an annual stipend of $35,000 per year, renewable. A qualified candidate should hold a Ph.D degree in an area of Natural Language Processing based Information Extraction/Information Retrieval Technical experiences with indexing, morphological and syntactic tagging are preferable. The successful candidate will join the UQAM research team in collaboration with Princeton, UCLA and MIT researchers to develop a model of parsing based on the recovery of natural language asymmetries.
