The "new generation" research group Neurolinguistics is part of the Institute of German Linguistics in cooperation with the laboratory for General and Biological Psychology. The incumbent will be required to engage in research in the fields of language acquisition and/or syntax, primarily for the German language within the framework of current research paradigms and methodologies of neuropsychology. These research activities will complement existing activities in theoretical and cognitive linguistics. The position will initially be that of an employee according to the federal tariff system (BAT Ib), limited to a three year contract, with the possibility of extending the contract for a further three years. Once the legal regulatory framework for junior professorships is in place, it is intended to change the employment status accordingly. Employment will be according to the regulations of the Hesse University Law (Hessisches Hochschulgesetz) on the appointment of professors. Candidates should have an excellent PhD, as well as additional outstanding academic achievements and a particular aptitude for research. At the time of employment, PhD completion must be no longer than five years ago.
