The 8th conference of the International Association of World Englishes 
is hosted by Potchefstroom University, South Africa, on 29 November - 1 
December 2001. 

The conference theme is "The globalisation and localisation of 
Englishes: partners or adversaries?"

The deadline for submission of abstracts is 31 August. Abstracts should 
be submitted to the Programme Organiser, Bertus van Rooy at 
nffajvrpuknet.puk.ac.za

submission of the abstract, accommodation and other matters can be
