The University of Virginia Anthropology Department seeks a
cultural/social anthropologist for a tenure-track full-time
appointment at the assistant professor level. Area expertise in
Tibetan culture and language (colloquial and literary) required;
experience in Tibetan areas of the PRC preferred, as is knowledge of
Chinese. Significant commitment to the University's South and East
Asian programs is expected. Ph.D. by August 2002 required.
