Area expertise in Tibetan culture and language (colloquial and literary) required; experience in Tibetan areas of the PRC preferred, as is knowledge of Chinese. Significant commitment to the University's South and East Asian programs is expected. Ph.D. by August 2002 required. Application deadline is November 1, 2001.
