Two or two and a half years (four or five semesters) Mellon post-doctoral Fellowship in Linguistics and Cognitive Science at Pomona College at the assistant professor level, starting either January 2002 (five semesters) or September 2002 (four semesters). Opportunities for research coupled with undergraduate teaching in a dynamic department at a nationally ranked liberal arts college with a diverse student body. Teaching load of one course per semester, including one course in area of specialization each year. The interests of the faculty include pragmatics, semantics, syntax, 1st/2nd language acquisition and bilingualism, psycholinguistics, neurolinguistics, sociolinguistics and the philosophy of language. We welcome applications from candidates in Linguistics, Cognitive Psychology and Neuroscience with compatible interests. PhD in hand by date of appointment, January or June 2002.
