Knowledge of German is highly desirable. Preference will be given to applicants in the above mentioned areas. However, outstanding applicants in other areas of computational linguistics who complement existing strengths in the department will be considered. Duties for this post include independent research and participation in externally-funded, on-going research projects. The position is funded until December 31, 2005. However, shorter periods of employment are also possible. The position is at the rank of "Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter" (M.A. or equivalent required; Ph.D. or equivalent preferred). The salary is determined by the German civil servants payscale (Verg�tungsgruppe BAT IIa) and amounts to approximately 42.000 Euro per year.
