The chair was previously held by Prof. Mats Rooth. Principal responsibilities: Teaching and research in Theoretical Computational Linguistics. Central areas of interest: Mathematical and algorithmic properties of linguistic formalisms used in syntax, semantics, phonology and morphology. Desirable: Expertise in questions concerning the combination of symbolic and stochastic methods is considered desirable.
