STANFORD UNIVERSITY

Potential Visiting Position in Semantics and Pragmatics

The Department of Linguistics at Stanford University may have a
position available for a visiting faculty member to teach graduate and
undergraduate courses and advise students in the field of semantics
and pragmatics during part or all of the 2001-02 academic year. The
department has a lively program in this area, including an active
semantics/pragmatics colloquium series
(http://www-linguistics.stanford.edu/Linguistics/semgroup/profile.html).

The Linguistics Department expects to determine with certainty the
availability of this position within the coming weeks. In the
meantime, it hopes to gather information about qualified applicants
who might be available and interested in visiting Stanford next
academic year. If you may be interested in a part- or full-year
visiting faculty position in semantics and pragmatics at Stanford in
2001-02, you are invited to send a note to this effect with your CV by
post to:

 Stanley Peters, Chair
 Stanford University
 Department of Linguistics
 Stanford, CA 94305-2150

or by e-mail to petersstanford.edu (plain text of CV preferred, in
this case).
