The School of European Languages and Cultures wishes to appoint a
lecturer with research and teaching expertise in at least two of the
following fields in German Studies: applied linguistics, second
language acquisition, teaching German as a foreign language, German
literature, European and German intellectual and cultural history.

The successful applicant will have a completed, or nearly completed,
PhD, and will be required to undertake language teaching at various
undergraduate levels, and lecture and tutor in one or more areas of
his/her expertise.

Salary range:
Level A appointment:	$A35,594 - $A48,304; ($A44,999 with relevant
doctoral qualification),
Level B appointment:	$A50,847 - $A60.382
Expected date of commencement: 1 June 2001
