Department of Modern Languages University of Mississippi Assistant Professor of Spanish Full-time, tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning August 2001. The successful candidate will hold a Ph.D. in Spanish Applied Linguistics, Spanish Linguistics or a related field, possess native or near-native fluency in the language, have expertise in computer-assisted language instruction and experience teaching in a technology-enhanced curriculum. Duties include teaching in area of specialization at the undergraduate and M.A. levels, directing a technology-enhanced Spanish language program, supervising Spanish instructors, building a strong publication record, and participating actively in departmental and university service. Nine month appointment with opportunities for additional teaching and supervisory duties during the summer. Salary competitive.
