======================================================================= POSITION AVAILABLE FOR SESSIONAL LECTURER PHONOLOGY The Department of Linguistics at the University of British Columbia seeks to fill a position for a sessional lecturer in phonology. The appointment is for eight months, starting September 1, 2001. The successful candidate will be expected to teach a standard course load (5 three-credit courses per year). The salary is $28,000. The successful candidate should have a primary specialisation in Phonological Theory. The candidate should hold a Ph.D. in linguistics, have a demonstrated potential for and a strong commitment to research, as well as be able to teach a variety of courses in linguistics at the graduate and undergraduate levels.
