PhD in Linguistics and fluency in French required. Teaching experience and solid research agenda preferred. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. The successful candidate will teach graduate courses in Sociolinguistic theory and/or related areas in English (i.e., Dialectology, Sociology of Language, Ethnolinguistics, etc.); will contribute to and benefit from ongoing research projects; and be encouraged to develop their individual research profile to complement current work in the department and the Interdepartmental Linguistic Program at LSU. The position will be 50% teaching / 50% research, which includes the supervision of graduate research assistants.
