I am an Italian student, graduating at Universita di Genova. My final dissertation will be a study of frequency alteration caused by alcohhol assumption, as long english vowels are concerned. Unfortunately there seem to be very little written on the subject. I hope someone can help me, suggesting any reading or site. Thank you in advance, Elisabetta elisabettamaria.perottiMail to author|Respond to list|Read more issues|LINGUIST home page|Top of issuetin.it
I need to come into contact with someone who has (preferably) first hand knowledge of the Garo language (Sino-Tibetan, Tibeto-Burman, Baric) spoken in the state of Assam, India. I have read the existing grammar and am aware of the existence of a few dictionaries; I need to clarify some issues that seem be more a matter of grammar rather than lexicon so any pointers to people or institutions where I could find someone competent in Garo will be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot in advance!
