Visiting Assistant Professor position, beginning in Fall 2001. Specialist in applied linguistics with a focus on second language acquisition and foreign language teaching methodology. The candidate will be expected to teach at the graduate and undergraduate levels. PhD required by time of appointment. Native or near native fluency in Spanish is essential. Search committee will conduct telephone interviews and possibly arrange a visit to campus. Pending funding approval, the department will open a search in 2001-2002 for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in this area.
