linguistlist.org>***** Correction to yesterday's fund drive issue (13.1135): Contrary to what we said yesterday, U.S. tax payers do not have their tax bills reduced by the size of their donation. Rather, it is the taxable amount that is reduced, so that a 25% taxpayer would have his or her tax bill reduced by $25 on a $100 donation. We at LINGUIST apologize for any confusion caused, but still encourage you to take advantage of this tax break. As the pig on our fund drive page becomes ever more colourful, we can at last see the end of the fund drive approaching. Our fund drive goal for this year is $48,000: this is the amount we need to keep the same number of student editors on our staff next year. Thanks to the generosity of everyone listed below, we have now collected $42,895. This means we only have $5000 to go to reach our target.
