Qualified candidates must have a Master's degree (Ph. D. preferred) in TESL, EFL, second-language acquisition, English education, foreign language education or related fields; 10 years total experience in a multi-lingual, university-based intensive English program with 2 to 4 years responsible administrative experience and 8 to 10 years successful full-time teaching experience is required in addition to excellent written and oral presentation skills. Additional important criteria include the proven capacity to (1) pursue collaborations with other academic departments, (2) market the program and recruit students, (3) seek external funding, (4) liaison with university administrators, and (5) supervise faculty, students, and staff. Demonstrated effectiveness in curriculum design and administration, budgeting, and second-language testing must also be evident. Application deadline: May 31, 2002, 5 p. m.
