Candidates will need to have at least near native command of written and spoken Spanish, including the ability to teach through the medium of Spanish and English. They will also be required to have proven research interests and outstanding research potential, and to have completed or be completing a PhD or its equivalent. Initial salary for the post will be 22,522 pa rising to 29,709 pa after 5 years. The salary scale will be under review for a cost of living award from 1 August 2002, and salary progression will be subject to satisfactory performance.
