Rank of Job: Assistant Professor Specialty Areas Required: Language Description, Morphology, Phonetics, Phonology, L2 or L1 Development, Socio- or Psycholinguistics Required Language(s): Description: The University of Pittsburgh, Department of Linguistics, invites applications for a tenure track position at the Assistant Professor level beginning fall 2003, pending budgetary approval. Applicants must have a solid training in linguistic description and analysis in either phonetics/phonology OR morphosyntax, as well as competence in one or more of the following areas: child L2 development, first language development, sociolinguistics, or psycholinguistics. Preference will be given to candidates with language breadth or expertise in computational or quantitative methodologies. Candidates should send a CV (including a list of funded research if applicable), a statement of research and teaching interests, copies of 2 reprints or other written work, teaching evaluations (if available), and the names of three references.
