DIALOGISME ET NOMINATION

Le mot se pr�sente comme une ar�ne en r�duction o� s'entrecroisent,
luttent, les accents sociaux � orientation contradictoire. Le mot
s'av�re, dans la bouche des individus, le produit de l'interaction
vivante des forces sociales. M. Bakhtine


Issu des travaux de M. Bakhtine, le concept de dialogisme repose sur
le constat que l'�nonc� laisse entendre d'autres voix que celle de l'
�nonciateur principal. Toute �nonciation est vue comme une r�ponse
consciente ou non � d'autre �nonciations, actuelles ou virtuelles,
ant�rieures ou � venir. Aussi l'�nonc� n'est-il pas le produit d'une
seule instance mais de plusieurs. Cette pluralit� des instances
�nonciatives a �t� probl�matis�e par diff�rentes approches. Certaines
s'inspirent du concept bakhtinien, ainsi l'h�t�rog�n�it� �nonciative
(Authier-Revuz) ou la polyphonie �nonciative (Ducrot) ; d'autres par
contre n'y font pas r�f�rence comme les notions de formation
discursives et d'interdiscours (Foucault, Fuchs et P�cheux). Ces
�tudes sont au carrefour des th�ories de l' �nonciation, de l'analyse
du discours, de la sociolinguistique et de la pragmatique ; quand des
formes sont rep�r�es et �tudi�es en tant que faits dialogiques, elles
le sont le plus souvent dans la perspective syntaxique et sont
trait�es dans un cadre phrastique et/ou textuel. Les r�cents travaux
de Moiran, S�riot et Siblot d�placent le cadre d' observation des
faits dialogiques en le recentrant sur les unit�s nominales. En cela
ils font �cho � la r�flexion bakhtinienne qui voyait dans les mots le
lieu premier du conflit entre les voix �nonciatives, mais ils
concentrent leurs oservations sur une partie du grand ensemble des
mots. Il ne s'agit pas de s'orienter dans des �tudes du nom hors
co(n)texte, encore moins de fermer l'approche du dialogisme de la
nomination � partir de marqueurs syntaxiques. Il s'agit de placer le
th�me de ce colloque dans une perspective visant une confrontation
effective des deux notions de dialogisme et de nomination en
s'interrogeant sur le r�le �chu au nom dans le ph�nom�ne dialogique.
Cette descente dans l' � ar�ne � nominale pourrait notamment aider �
apporter des �l�ments de r�ponse aux questions suivantes - comment
l'acte de cat�gorisation, social et linguistique, dont est issu le nom
reproduit-il l' aptitude de l'�nonc� � faire entendre plusieurs voix ?
Quel rapport entre cet acte de cat�gorisation et l'actualisation
nominale en discours, notamment face � des �nonc�s monotermes ?
Comment les ph�nom�nes de la variation linguistique et de l'emprunt
int�grent-ils les divergences entre les instances �nonciatives ?
L'incidence des faits dialogiques sur les probl�mes de morphologie
lexicale et les aspects lexicom�triques serait �galement int�ressante
� interroger. Telle est la probl�matique propos�e pour le � Colloque
des Jeunes Chercheurs en Sciences du Langage � qui aura pour but de
mettre en rapport ou de confronter diverses analyses tout en
permettant � de jeunes chercheurs d' exposer leurs travaux et de
b�n�ficier de ceux de chercheurs confirm�s.

********** TALN 2003: FIRST CALL FOR PAPERS **********

- --> SUBMISSION DEADLINE: FRIDAY, February 7th 2003 <----

The 10th annual conference TALN 2003 will be held at Batz-sur-Mer (44)
France on June 11 - 14 2003, organized by IRIN (Computer Sciences
Institute of University of Nantes) in collaboration with the
laboratories ACIDORE and VALORIA of the University of Bretagne-Sud and
IRISA, INRIA, Rennes and under the aegis of ATALA (French Association
for Computational Linguistics).

TALN 2003 is organized under the aegis of ATALA (French Association
for Computational Linguistics) and will be held jointly with the young
researcher conference RECITAL 2003. The conference includes paper
presentations, invited speakers, tutorials and software
demonstrations.

The official conference languages are French and English.

********** TOPICS **********

Papers are invited in all areas of NLP, including (but not limited to):
 lexicon
 morphology
 syntax
 semantics
 pragmatics
 discourse
 parsing
 generation
 abstraction/summarisation
 dialogue
 translation
 logical, symbolic and statistical approaches

TALN 2003 also invites contributions in fields for which NLP plays an
important role, as long as these contributions emphasize their NLP
dimension:
 text processing
 cognition
 terminology
 knowledge acquisition
 information extraction
 information retrievial
 corpus-based linguistics
 mathematical linguistics
 management and acquisition of linguistic resources
 computer assisted learning
 NLP tools for linguistic modelization

TALN 2003 also welcomes submissions focusing on NLP applications that
have been implemented, tested and evaluated and emphasizing the
scientific aspects and conclusions drawn. Software demonstrations can
be proposed, either independently or in connection with a paper
proposal. Specific sessions for the demos will be scheduled in the
conference.

The maximum length for papers is 10 pages, in Times 12, single spaced,
including figures, examples and references.

Electronic submissions must reach the organizing committee before
February, 7th 2003, sent to: taln2003irin.univ-nantes.fr

If electronic submission is not possible, 3 hard-copies of the paper
must reach the organizing committee at the following address:

********** FORMAT FOR SUBMISSIONS **********

Authors should send their submission as a file attached to an e-mail
(rtf, ps or pdf files, A4 format and not US Letter format), containing
the following informations: submission title and author's names.

********** SELECTION CRITERIA **********

Authors are invited to submit original, previously unpublished work.
Submissions will be reviewed by at least 2 specialists of the domain.
Decisions will be based on the following criteria :
 Importance and originality of the paper
 Accuracy of the scientific and technical content
 Comparison of the results obtained with other relevant work
 Layout and clarity of the paper
 Relevance to the topics of the conference

Accepted papers will be published in the proceedings of the conference.

********** DEMOS AND POSTERS **********

One or two specific sessions for the demos and the posters (85 x 120
cm) will be scheduled in the conference. The demo or poster
submissions accord to the same rules of paper submission, BUT they
should not exceed 6 pages.

********** TALKS **********

Papers should be of 20 minutes duration. 10 minutes will be left for
questions. It will be possible to use a overhead projector or a
video-projector.

********* PROCEEDINGS **********

The conference proceedings will be given to all participants.

The editorial board of the international journal "Traitement Automatique
des Langues" (TAL) will select two papers for 
publication.
