Description:

SYSTRAN Software Inc., a leading provider of Machine Translation
technology located in San Diego CA, is expanding and developing a new
range of MT technologies.

SYSTRAN seeks an energetic senior Japanese computational linguist with
the following high qualifications:
- Lead the Japanese team and manage the continued development of the
Japanese-English and English-Japanese language pairs.
- Further develop and improve the Japanese components.
- Contribute to and oversee the development of the Japanese machine
translation dictionaries.
- Design and supervise testing of Japanese entries.
- Supervise Japanese lexicographers and testers.
- Interface with the other peers of SYSTRAN's development group,
development group.

The ideal candidate will have:
- An advanced degree in Computational Linguistics or Computer Science
(PhD, Masters).
- C/C++ and Perl programming skills.
- Experience in project management.

Native Japanese speaker with previous experience in Japanese
computational linguistics projects.
