Assistant Professor of English, tenure-track, specializing in
discourse studies, starting August 19, 2002. The successful candidate
will take an interdisciplinary approach to the study of
language. Areas of interest might include one or more of the
following: stylistics; pragmatics; linguistics; mediated, visual,
and/or virtual discourse studies; cultural studies approaches to
discourse analysis; textual analysis; literacy studies. Ph.D. with
evidence of scholarly potential required. Teaching, research, and
appropriate professional service expected. Screening begins April 8;
