Dear LINGUISTs, I would like to inform you of a language generation software that I have developed, inspired by Simon Dik's model of Functional Grammar (FG). This software, unimaginatively called FGW (Functional Grammar Workbench) allows the user to write grammars for different languages, using rules of the type devised in FG (expression rules, morphological templates and morphological rules), and test these grammars on predicate-argument formulas introduced by the user. This software is freely downloadable from the site http://www3.uji.es/~ruiz/FGW/ There you can find also a more detailed description of FGW, as well as some documentation in printable format (PDF). In case you have any suggestion or queries please contact me at the email address below. Juan C.
