The department of linguistics at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, New Brunswick Campus has a one-year visiting position at the assistant professor level for academic year 2002-03. Applicants must have a Ph.D. by August 2002, with a specialization in either Phonology or Syntax. Duties will include teaching up to five classes, including a graduate research seminar and an upper-level undergraduate course in their area of specialization, plus undergraduate introduction to linguistics. Ability to teach "Structure of an Unfamiliar Language" at the undergraduate level is a plus. The salary will be $42,000. For first consideration, applications should be received by April 26, 2002, but the position will be considered open until filled.
