Dear Linguists, I am looking for languages that show a Case alternation (Partitive [Genitive]/Accusative) in the underlying position of the internal argument of the sort observed in the Slavic languages and Finnish. Do you know any other languages of this type? If you happen to know any, please answer to my e-mail address below, I will post a summary of the answers on the list. Thanks a lot Susann Fischer Susann Fischer Linguistic Department University of Potsdam P.O. I have a colleague who is working with a research assistant on transcribing data in Tamil. They would like to be able to share files, but one works in Mac and the other in the Windows world. They have a preference for a standard IPA-style of transcription. Does anyone have a suggestion for a 'font solution'? Much of the data is already transcribed using SIL's IPA font for the PC, but alternative ideas would be very greatly appreciated. Geoff Nathan Geoffrey S.
