The invited speakers, many of whom are members of the Ross Priory Broadcast Talk Seminar, will address the topic of the conference with reference to a wide variety of television genres, including documentaries and cultural programs, political interviews, national and local television news, a television series, reality shows and talk shows. Among the speakers are Shoshana Blum-Kulka (Jerusalem), Adam Jaworski (Cardiff), Tamar Liebes (Jerusalem), Peter Lunt (University College London), Stephanie Marriott (Stirling), Martin Montgomery (Strathclyde), Andrea Press (Illinois), Joanna Thornborrow (Cardiff), Andrew Tolson (De Montfort), Bruce Williams (Illinois). A detailed program will be posted in late May 2003. The conference is organised by the Centro per lo studio dei linguaggi specifici, University of Bologna, Italy.
