The conference will focus on the main and more recent developments of linguistic research in both acquisition and change of linguistic categories. Especially we consider the methodological similarity and intersection between these two research fields. This topic will be developed from different perspectives by invited speakers. A special poster session will be dedicated to post-graduates, who have been carrying out or have just finished researches either on acquisition or change of linguistic categories, to present their research, exchange their ideas and discuss their future research projects. A maximum of 20 posters will be selected, representing these two main research fields in a balanced way, i.e. language acquisition and diachronic analysis of linguistic categories. We welcome submissions from all postgraduates in any area of linguistics, who have interest in language acquisition and/or language change. Please see the 'Guidelines for Submission' below. The proceedings of the conference will be published by Il Calamo Publishing Co, Rome. The posters will be inserted in the conference proceedings in the form of abstracts. INVITED SPEAKERS: M. FORMATTING Abstracts should be no longer than 1 side of A4, and in Times New Roman font (size 12pt). The title, author's name and affiliation should be in size 14pt (Times New Roman) and centred on the lines at the top of the page. Please note that your name and affiliation should be left off the version you email to us, as this will be distributed amongst the refereeing committee. Linguistisches Kolloquium 38th Linguistics Colloquium 3th Circular Dear colleagues, We would like to inform You via this circular, that we prolonged the deadline of registration for the 38th Linguistics Colloquium until the 20th May 2003. We learned that by several registrations the transfer of the conference fee was still not possible for administrative reasons. Other registrations had to face problems because of the long series of national holidays. Should this be the case by your registration as well, you can now naturally registrate until the 20th May by transferring the conference fee of 60 Euros (instead of 70 Euros after the 2nd May). After the 20th May the conference fee amounts 70 Euros (in accordance with the 1st circular). People intended to pay on arrival at the conference site pay also 70 Euros. If you have already transferred 70 Euros after the 2nd May, the difference of 10 Euros will be refunded at your registration in Piliscsaba. The accomodation fees can be transferred to the same bank-account as the conference fee. Family-members who are not attending the conference do not have to pay the conference fee.
