The Faculty of Humanities/Department of Linguistics invites
applications for the position of a full professor (German C4 level) in
English Linguistics

Candidates are expected to have a focus on at least one of the core
domains of linguistic theory: phonology, morphology, syntax or
semantics, and be able to cover the history of English.

Applicants should hold a Ph.D. and a "habilitation" or equivalent
accomplishments in terms of publications. Appointment to a
professional position will be for a limited period at first, after
which tenure decision will be made without further application
procedures. Exceptions from such a time limitation are possible,
especially for candidates from abroad or from outside the university
system.
