Temporary. College of Languages, Linguistics and Literature, Department of Second Language Studies (formerly ESL), Position 82462T, University of Hawai'i at Manoa; rank open, full or part-time, temporary, non-tenure track, for one or both of the semesters of academic year 2003-2004. This is a temporary replacement for faculty on leave. Duties: Teach courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels in second language acquisition, applied psycholinguistics, second language pedagogy, or related areas of second language studies; participate in supporting activities for academic programs. Minimum qualifications: Doctorate complete or ABD, with speciality in second language acquisition, applied linguistics or related field; demonstrated teaching ability and recognized expertise in the duty areas, as evidenced by refereed publications. Desirable qualifications: While consideration may be given to ABD applicants, a doctorate in hand is desirable. Salary: Dependent on rank and qualifications. In the case of faculty visiting from other institutions, rank corresponds to the rank at the home institution.
