The successful applicant will teach graduate level courses (including Japanese language practicum course) along with undergraduate classes of any of the following foreign languages (English, German, French, Russian, Chinese, Spanish, Korean, and Japanese). Candidates should hold a Ph.D. (or should be able to get the degree by March, 2004) in Teaching of Japanese as a foreign language or related areas and be able to demonstrate teaching ability. People from all nationalities are encouraged to apply, though a successful candidate must have a native level proficiency of Japanese. Required application materials: - A list of publications; - A copy of three selected articles published in a refereed journal or a book. At least one article needs to be written in the foreign language for which the applicant is applying (for undergraduate teaching); - A curriculum vitae; - One letter of recommendation.
