We'd like to remind readers that the responses to queries are usually
best posted to the individual asking the question. That individual is
then strongly encouraged to post a summary to the list. This policy was
instituted to help control the huge volume of mail on LINGUIST; so we
would appreciate your cooperating with it whenever it seems appropriate.
In addition to posting a summary, we'd like to remind people that it
is usually a good idea to personally thank those individuals who have
taken the trouble to respond to the query.
To post to LINGUIST, use our convenient web form at

Subject: Estuary English
Dear Linguists,
I am looking for updated information concerning Estuary English . I
studied the material placed on the Internet by Professor John
C. Wells, but I have not found any information about the current
research and recent findings. Nor have I managed to find any
recordings of EE speakers.
Do you know:
1. where I could find the above information/recordings;
2. who is currently doing a research on EE and could share their
findings with me?
I will be very much obliged to gain access to any materials published
or unpublished but written after 2000.
I also wish to thank everyone who has already helped me.
Thank you in advance.
Yours sincerely,
Joanna Ryfa
