Some time ago I submitted a posting to the LL( Linguist 14.1877), asking for tips how to find (linguistically naive) subjects for linguistic experiments. I'd like to thank again everybody who replied (and offered their relatives as subjects). Here are a few tips, based on the replies and my own experience: 1. Finding subjects is VERY difficult. 2. It's close to impossible unless there is a chance of a reward (money, a gift certificate). 3. There is a portal for linguistic experiments at www.language-experiments.org where one can submit a link to the experiment(s). 4. Word of mouth is still the best method. 5. Trying to do an experiment during the summer is pretty hopeless because people are on vacation.
