We were deeply saddened to learn of the death of our Honorary
President, Professor Antonio Zampolli, who passed away in Pisa (Italy)
on August 22, 2003.

Antonio Zampolli was the founding father of ELRA (European Language
Resources Association) and the first President of the association.

We will all deeply miss him, but his memory and inspiration will stay
in our minds and in our hearts for ever.

We convey our sincere sympathy to his family and friends.
