uwindsor.ca no later than January 5, 2004. Registration and information will soon be available at http://www.uwindsor.ca/buchanan CALL FOR PAPERS The Fourth International Conference on the Mental Lexicon brings together psycholinguistic, neurolinguistic, and computational research on the representation and processing of words in the mind/brain. The conference encourages a variety of perspectives on lexical representation and processing. The language of the conference is English. The 2004 meeting will be held in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. Windsor is a small border city approximately 3 hours from Toronto and 5 minutes from Detroit, Michigan. The end of June is particularly lovely in this garden city and there are numerous things to do in the evening on both sides of the border. The conference will be held at the University of Windsor's new state-of-the-art conference centre with reasonably priced rooms (breakfasts and lunches included). As in other years we anticipate an excellent selection of top quality research talks and posters on topics that range from computational models of lexical processing through neurolinguistics. As in the previous three meetings (Edmonton 1998, Montreal 2000 & Banff, 2002), the conference will include both 15-minute platform presentations and poster sessions on each day. We are pleased to announce that in addition to the submitted presentations Michael Turvey (University of Connecticut) and Alec Marantz (MIT) will give invited talks. Past meetings have each resulted in special issues of Brain and Language. A fourth publication of peer-reviewed papers from this conference is planned for publication in 2005. The deadline for receipt of abstracts is on January 5, 2004. Acceptance letters will be e-mailed in the first week of February following selection by the scientific committee consisting of (Lori Buchanan, Gonia Jerama, Gary Libben, Debra Titone and Lee Wurm). Please send a one page abstract to mlg4
