University or Organization: Harvard University Department: Linguistics Department Rank of Job: Assistant Prof or Untenured Associate Prof Specialty Areas: Phonology Description: The Department of Linguistics at Harvard University is seeking to appoint an Assistant Professor or untenured Associate Professor in the area of phonology, beginning July 1, 2004. The initial contract will be for five years, with possibility of promotion to tenure. Candidates must show demonstrated promise of excellence in research and teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Preference will be given to applicants with a strong interest in one or more language areas and expertise in phonetics. Letters of application should be accompanied by a detailed curriculum vitae and three confidential letters of recommendation.
